About Me

 A woman of grace, Shawn has learned many of life’s lessons through personal relationships and experiences as a daughter and a sister who values family. These lessons attribute to her commitment as a compassionate mentor with a willingness to connect with teens and young adult moms to provide necessary support and guidance, as they navigate through motherhood and life’s assured challenges. She loves to write and enjoys music and dancing, shopping, eating, and traveling. Shawn was inspired by various family and friends to share her story of overcoming through blogging. When Grace Wins is her personal testimony, and in taking this leap of faith, she hopes to inspire women to heal, to thrive and to persevere through life’s most difficult seasons—with God’s amazing grace.   

Shawn August is the devoted mother of three beautiful children: Brycen, Brinan, and Breanna. She is also a Godmother and aunt.
